Data privacy
The Minnesota Unemployment Insurance Program (UI) is committed to protecting the privacy of users. We work to meet and exceed the requirements of the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act Minn. Stat. section 13.

System security
You play a role in maintaining the security of your information. Here's what you can do:
  • Donít share your password.

  • Log off your account and close your browser window when you are done.
    This prevents others from accessing or seeing your information.
We take steps to keep your personal information secure. We use a strong form of data encryption to keep your online communication protected. Your data is encrypted with 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to ensure that sensitive information can only be viewed by you and our secure system.

The first time you enter our secure site you may receive a message or warning asking if you want to accept the certificate. You need to accept the certificate so it is registered with your browser in order to securely submit information within your account.

We use cookies to maintain needed information while you are logged into your account. A cookie is a small file saved by your browser that allows you to navigate your account. We do not collect personal or private information without your permission.

You can adjust your web browser to accept or decline cookies, or to alert you when cookies are in use. You do not have to accept cookies from us, but if you choose not to, some of the functions on our system may not be available to you.
